How It's Made

Withered, rolled, unoxidised

01
Plucking
Two or three leaves and a bud, taken by hand.
02
Withering
12–16 hours on the trough, cool and warm air as needed, until the leaf turns supple.
03
Rolling
10–20 minutes, breaking the cell walls to set an even shape and texture.
04
Unoxidised
No fermentation step — which is what keeps the leaf greenish and the cup so light.
05
Drying
15–20 minutes at 110–120°C, finishing at 3–5% moisture so the leaf keeps.
The Origin

High on the southern slopes of the Himalaya, above the cloud line, the garden grows slowly in thin, clean air.

Light & Bright is picked in the first weeks of spring, when the leaf carries the brightness of the new season. Cold nights and altitude force it to grow slowly — concentrating aroma, sharpening flavour, and giving the cup its luminous, floral lift.

Every leaf is plucked by hand on the slopes of eastern Nepal and made in small, careful steps — withered, rolled and dried exactly as described above. Only the mountain, the leaf, and the people who tend both.
